Description

SOLICITATION SYSOPSIS FOR CONSTRUCTION SERVICES, General construction contractor services are required at the 179th Airlift Wing, Ohio Air National Guard, 1947 Harrington Memorial Rd., Mansfield, OH 44903-0179. For construction of a single level, 34,746 SF building which provides space for Operations and Communications functions, including a fitness area, locker rooms, lobby, classrooms, administrative offices, training areas, briefing rooms, computer and communication operation and maintenance areas, space for equipment storage, and a mechanical room. The construction contract will include: the Operations and Communications building, connection to primary utilities, landscaping & site improvements, minimal pavements & sidewalks, and demolition of an existing building including asbestos removal. The Operations and Communications building is designed as a single floor, structural steel column and beam construction, masonry block walls with architectural brick siding, standing seam metal roof, with all the communications support included (voice, data, CATV/CCTV, multimedia). The mechanical system includes a natural gas fueled boiler system with Variable Air Volume distribution, Digital controls, and chilled water-cooling. The plumbing system includes separate domestic water, storm, and sanitary sewer systems. Electric systems include step-down transformer from primary distribution system, and all low voltage wiring for lighting and power service connections. Communications systems include fire protection, CATV/CCTV, and integration of building systems to existing voice & data systems on the base. The building will be the serve as the central hub for all communications on base. The total estimate for this project is between $5 million and $10 million. Plans and specifications will be available for inspection without charge at 2811 W Dublin-Granville Rd, Columbus, Ohio in the Purchasing and Contracting Office or by contacting CAPT Dan Tack. There will be two scheduled site visits, 11 September at 1:00pm and 12 September at 9:00am. Questions regarding the site visit should be addressed to Captain Tack. The standard industrial classification (SIC) code is 1542 and the North American Industry Classification (NAIC) code is 23332. The applicable small business size standard including affiliates is no more that $ 27.5 Million average annual revenue for the previous three years. This procurement is full and open competition. The Solicitation package will be approximately $ 150.00, which is none refundable. Requests for the solicitation package should be submitted by 22 August 2001.
