Description

This is a combined/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Marine Corps Logistics Base (MCLB), Albany, Georgia, intends to award a sole source order to TFD Solutions, Inc, Elizabeth City, NC, for the purchase of Vmetric-XL analytical software. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The award will be issued for this commercial acquisition within 15 calendar days after publicatjon of this synopsis. No telephone requests will be honored. This proposed action is for procurement of commercial off the shelf software Vmetrix-XL and contractor support services Purchase will consist of 3 MCLB seats and 3 AAAV s eats, network license for up to 25 users per location, and initial consulting services in three contractor phases. The consulting services will consist of Phase I contractor support; provide a clear, detailed understanding of every input variable for the model and how it is treated in the modeling environment, examination of output data elements in the context of the expected USMC supply chain management processes, identification of all legacy data systems from which input data elements must be acquired and the effects of defaults where specific data elements are not readily available and to develop a road map for each input data element from existing systems, and any necessary data modifications for the modeling environment. Phase II contractor support; model construction to produce fully working models for the chosen weapons platforms, and a data management assessment based on exiting data systems to determine the best way to manage data at full-scale support operations, achieving model construction and data management assessment. Phase III contractor support; to provide direct support to MCLB in the preparation of the results of the phases for reqnired further presentation within the USMC.
