Description

Contractor shall furnish all tools, materials, equipment, labor, and supervision necessary for excavating, backfilling and preparing for interments. The estimated annual number of casketed second interments in the cemetery is sixty five. The estimated number of cremations is sixty (60). The Contractor shall install approximately 225 replacement and new headstones at the Hampton National Cemetery within five (5) work days of receipt. The contract covers the period October 1, 2001 (or date of contract award, whichever is later) through September 30, 2002 (base period), with three 1-year options to extend the term of the contract. This acquisition is a 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 561730 and a size standard of $5 Million is applicable to this acquisition. All responsible small business concerns may submit a bid. Requests for hard copies of the solicitation must be in writing to Ms. Mary Moss and accompanied by a check or money order in the amount of Five Dollars ($5.00) (non-refundable) made payable to "U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs." No telephone requests will be accepted. The solicitation will be issued on or about August 21, 2001. Bid opening date will be on or about September 17, 2001.
