Description

Contractor shall furnish all tools, fuels, lubricants, materials, equipment, labor and supervision necessary to perform grounds maintenance for Philadelphia National Cemetery, Haines Street and Limekiln Pike, Philadelphia, PA 19138, and Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Soldier's and Naval Plots, 6201 Kingessing Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19142 covering the period October 1, 2001 (or date of contract award, whichever is later) through September 30, 2001 (base period), with four (4) 1-year options to extend the term of the contract through September 30, 2006. Duties include: interments, set initial and replacement upright headstones, set initial and replacement flat headstones, raise/align flat and upright headstones, raise/align headstones with cement collars, clean headstones, mowing, trimming edging, clean up trash/debris, mulch, collect and remove leaves, renovate sunken graves, snow/ice removal, turf maintenance, plant maintenance, weed removal, storm damage, and assist sponsor of memorial Day Ceremony with placement, removal and storage of flags, furnish chairs, porta-toliet, and extension cords. This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. North American Industry Classification System (NCICS) 561730 and a size standard of 500 employees is applicable to this acquisition. All responsible small business concerns may submit a bid. Requests for hard copies of the solicitation must be in writing to Mrs. Janice E. Corlew and accompanied by a check or money order in the amount of Five Dollars ($5.00) (non-refundable) made payable to "U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs." No telephone requests will be accepted. Hard Copy solicitations will be mailed on or about August 9, 2001.
