Description

The U.S. Army, Alaska will issue a full & open competitive solicitation for Firm Wholesale Electric Power for Fort Richardson, Alaska. The term of the resulting contract shall be ten (10) years. The point of connection shall be at existing government-owned switching gear located in the central heat and power plant, building number 36012. The contractor, at their option may build a new substation on government property next to building number 36012. Fort Richardson's estimated annual energy usage is 70000kwhrs at a maximum demand of 13.5 megawatts. Service to start October 01, 2003. The company that is awarded this contract must comply with the State of Alaska's Regulatory Commission regulations and certifications. Only firms currently in the business of generating and selling electric power to the general public will be invited to submit proposals.
