Description

Work under this project is for a 50 foot wide boundary fuel break on surveyed property lines. All lines will be flagged, signed and delineated in advance of work to be performed with access through park lands only. Travel to work sites by motorized vehicles are on established roads. All off-road travel will be by foot, no motorized ATV vehicles are allowed. The boundary areas range from open, flat, rock face and slopes to some steep and uneven terrain while encountering all types of forest/fuel types as bog, grass, dead and downed tree areas to dense soft and hardwood stands. The cutting, thinning and pruning will be by manual means using chainsaws, brush cutters, pole saws/pruners and handtools. Disposal of debris can be chipped when possible and dispersed inside of park boundaries. The estimated price range of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000.
