Description

This is not a request for proposal. This synopsis is requesting information for consideration by the government for future acquisition program planning. This request should not be construed as a commitment by the Government to fund for development or acquisition. NAVSEA, Indian Head Division, Indian Head, Maryland, is searching for sources who can supply 5 (five) gallon steel pails with polyethylene liners. Liner material UN6HA1/Y1.8/100, NSWC Drawing #95D-Y-055 is available for download from the following web site: http://www.ih.navy.mil/contracts/. The vendor must submit an UN Compliance Test to the following: 178.503 Marking of packaging, 178.608 Vibration standard, 178.603 Drop Test, 178.604 Leakproofness test, 178.605 Hydrostatic pressure test, 178.606 Stacking test. The vendor is to indicate the minimum order. Information submitted should be pertinent and specific to the technical area under consideration. There is no specific format or outline that your response must follow. Only written submission will be assessed at this time. It is encouraged to submit other descriptive literature and any other specific and pertinent information that would enhance our consideration and evaluation of the information submitted. Firms responding should indicate whether they are small business, a socially and economically disadvantage business, or a woman-owned business. Please include two (2) copies of each response.
