Description

This is a modification to Solicitation N68936-01-T-0244 which appeared in the Commerce Business Daily issue date of August 7, 2001. The purpose of this modification is to change the description of the original announcement to read as follows: "The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on an other than full and open competition basis the following service: 1) Contractor shall gather and manipulate geophysical data within and adjacent to the Naval Air Weapons Station, China Lake, the Naval Air Station, Fallon, Nevada, Hawthorne Army Ammunition Depot, Hawthorne, Nevada, and the Sierra Army Depot, Herlong, California at established bench marks and in and around the North and South Test Ranges of Naval Air Weapons Station, China Lake, the Hawthorne Army Ammunition Depot, Hawthorne, Nevada, and the Sierra Army Depot, Herlong, California." Project scope includes: (1) data gathering at several remote sites; (2) reduction, statistical analysis, and presentation of data; and (3) maintenance (inspection, calibration, and adjustment) of data gathering equipment. This requirement is sole sourced to Charley Rodgers, 1250 South Sierra View, Ridgecrest, CA 93555 as the only vendor with the expertise to perform this project. Any firms believing that they can provide this service may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 5 days after the date of publication of this notice, clearly showing it's ability to provide this service and clearly showing it's ability to do so without compromising the quality, accuracy, and reliability of the data or without causing programmatic hardship to the program.
