Description

The Seattle District, Corps of Engineers intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Kalispel Tribe of Indians of Usk Washington under authority 10 USC 2304 (1) for Miscellaneous Cultural Resource Management Assistance. This service is to supply technical expertise unique to the Kalispel Tribe for Cultural Resource Management task at the Albeni Falls Dam and Pend Oreille Lake project. The Kalispel Tribe's ceded lands include most of the project's cultural resources from the dam to the vicinity of Sandpoint, Idaho; Kalispel is primary tribe for NAGPRA action in that area and with respect to those sites. There is no other source of expertise in tribal cultural resource interest in that area. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 54199 and the Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 7389 with size standard of $ 5 million.
