Description
The Targets Management Office (TMO), Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is requesting information on the availability of manuals and repair parts/kits for foreign military vehicles. Background: The Technical Management Division of the TMO is collecting informati on on the availability of foreign military vehicle operating, training and maintenance manuals along with the availability of spare parts and/or kits to support the Mobile Ground Targets Fleet operated and maintained by the Targets Management Office. The TMO is currently repsonsible for, in excess of, 300 foreign military vehicles currently in the ground target inventory. The TMO manages and directs inventory control and maintenance support programs for both soldier and contractor operated/maintained grou nd target systems. This includes the acquisitions, storage and issuing of repair parts and performance of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance services. The identification and availability of manuals and repair parts and/or kits are essential for the su ccessful execution of these missions. Requested Information: Operator, Training & Maintenance Manuals-TMO is collecting information on the availability of operator, training and maintenance manuals (operator through depot levels of maintenance) for the f oreign military vehicles listed below. It is preferred that the manuals be in English, and that the translation previously performed be a technical translation rather than a literal translation. However, that is not a mandatory requirement, and the avail ability of any manuals (translated or not) is sought. The vehicle manuals that are of interest are: Russian Main Battle Tanks -- T-72B and later versions. Russian Reconnaissance Vehicles -- BDRM 1 & BDRM 2. Russian Armored Personnel Carriers -- BMP-3; BTR 60 & later versions. Russian Self Propelled Guns & Howitzers -- 2S4, 2S5, 2S7, 2S9, 2S19, 2S23, 2S31. Russian Multiple Rocket Launchers -- FROG-7; SCUD A, SCUD B & SCUD C. Russian Trucks -- GAZ-66 & GAZ-3937; ZIL-130, ZIL-131, ZIL-135, ZIL-157; URAL-357D, URAL-377, URAL-4320, URAL-4325, URAL-5323; KAMAZ-4350, KAMAZ-5320, KAMAZ-5350, KAMAZ-6350; MAZ-543 & later versions; 300mm 9T234-2; 9T29. Russian Self Propelled Anti-Aircraft Guns -- ZSU 23-4 & ZSU 57-2. Russian Self Propelled Air Defense Systems -- 2S6M; SA-4, SA-6, SA-8, SA-9, SA-10, SA-11, SA-12, SA-13, SA-15, SA-17 and SA-19. Repair Parts and Repair Parts Kits: TMO is collecting information on the availability of repair parts and/or kits (commonly referred to as ZIP kits) to support any new or additi onal foreign military assets that may be obtained by TMO. TMO is interested in obtaining information on the various levels of kits available to support sustainment (tires, track, filters, hoses) through major overhaul (engines, transmissions) for each of the hardware systems mentioned above. The information includes the nomenclature of the kit and an associated list of components contained within the kit. Companies wishing to provide information on their available Manuals and Repair Parts/Kits for Foreig n Military Vehicles are invited to do so within 20 days.
