Description

The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and supervision to prepare the surfaces and airless spray paint all exterior surfaces at the Cold Weather Training Facility, Navy Seals, Building N71, Spruce Cape, USCG Integrated Support Command, KODIAK, ALASKA. Work is to include power washing prior to painting building exterior, building trim, soffits, louvers, canopies, and columns. Metal roofing will not be included in project except for the metal soffit panels. Total surface area is approximately 8500 square feet. Contractor is responsible for verifying square footage before quoting. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED MATERIALS: None. Performance Period is 30 -- 45 days. SUBMITTALS DUE BEFORE AWARD include but are not limited to: manufacturer's catalogs, standard schedules, performance charts, instructions, brochures, diagrams, etc., in addition to samples of paint color, laboratory data, MSDS's, references / applicator's qualifications. Lack of adequacy of references shall be at the sole discretion of the government and may constitute grounds for disqualification. CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLY WITH requirements of: ASTM, CFR, MIL SPEC, FED STD, applicable OSHA regulations, MSDS requirements, and Coast Guard Safety Regs. ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS ARE CONTAINED IN STATEMENT OF WORK THAT WILL BE INCLUDED WITH REQUEST FOR QUOTE DOCUMENTS WHEN THEY ARE MAILED ON APPROXIMATELY AUGUST 27, 2001. A SITE VISIT will be held approximately two weeks before quote is due. The quoter is highly encouraged to familiarize themselves with site conditions. Location: U.S. Coast Guard, Integrated Support Command, Kodiak, Alaska. Estimated price is between $25,000 and $100,000. The proposed contract will be awarded under the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program. All responsible sources may submit a written quotation, which shall be considered. Solicitation package issue date is approximately August 27, 2001. Written quotes will be due on / about September 24, 2001.
