Description

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) at the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) has a requirement to reroof a building located on the NIFC complex, Boise, Ada County, Idaho. The Contractor shall (a) remove all existing roofing; (b) remove roof vents; (c) extend parapet walls; (d) install tapered insulation; (e) install the new roof; (f) install new metal coping caps; (g) build up A/C supports. The current roof structure is concrete over a steel deck covered by aggregate weighted ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM), approximately 50 ft X 98 ft (4,900 sq ft) in size. The roof is to be replaced with a connected metal panel roof. Work shall commence according to the instructions on the notice to proceed form. All work shall be completed by November 14, 2001, weather permitting. This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside and NAICS 23561 (SIC 1761), Roofing, Siding, and Sheet Metal Contractors applies. The small business size standard is $11.5 million for the past three fiscal years. Simplified acquisition procedures will be used for award and Davis-Bacon labor rates apply. The estimated value of this requirement is less than $100,000. Only written offers will be accepted and it is anticipated award will be made by September 30, 2001.
