Description

Naval Sea Systems Command, Program Executive Office Mine and Undersea Warfare (PEO MUW), intends to issue orders on multiple occasions over a three year period under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00024-01-G-6326 with EDO Corporation, Marine and Aircraft Systems, 1500 New Horizons BLVD, N. Amityville, New York 11701. This will allow for the ordering of Engineering Change Kits, Maintenance Support Material, Pre-Overhaul and Repair, Overhaul, Repair, Installation and Checkout Material (INCOs) and Engineering Services for the MK 105 Minesweeping Gear and Shallow Water Influence Minesweep Systems. Orders will be issued pursuit to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c )(1). EDO is the designer, developer and sole producer of the Minesweeping Gear Magnetic MK-105 System and the Shallow Water Influence Minesweep System. As the depot repair overhaul and repair activity, EDO Corporation is the only source with the expertise and in-depth technical knowledge of the equipment requirement to disassemble the equipment, determine the nature of the problem, and accomplish the appropriate overhaul and repair tasks to satisfactorily perform the work under the orders contemplated in an efficient and timely manner. No other source has the technical qualifications and necessary resources to perform the work described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Navy's requirements.
