Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ intends to enter into a procurement on a sole source basis with EMW, Inc. to provide services to overhaul the Optical Landing System Cells used for Visual Landing Aids for Navy and Marine Pilots. The Airport Marker Beacon Light Amber Lens Configuration is proprietary equipment manufactured by EMW, Inc. the original equipment manufacturer. EMW, Inc. will meet the required delivery date of 30 each overhauled Optical Landing System Cells 30 days after date of award. EMW, Inc. is the only known company capable of providing the Airport Marker Beacon Light Amber Lens Configuration for the Optical Landing System Cells. The Govenment will furnish 30 each Optical Landing System Cells to be completely overhauled to meet ready to issue (RFI) condition. All resposible sources are encouraged to submit a quote by 13 Sep 2001 which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation package will be available. See Note 1.
