- Description
- The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), intends to Negotiate solely with Cephid in Sunnyvale, CA, to furnish, Deliver, and install a Smart Cycler Transportable Device System and Accessories to the USDA, ARS, Foreign Disease Weed Science Research Unit, in Frederick, Maryland. This system will be used for field detection of virus pathogens. This system must be portable and capable of 16-independently, programable, temperature settings. The system includes: 1) 1-EA: a) Processing Block with 16-independent reaction sites, each with 4-color optical excitation and detection; b) Laptop computer, software, and operator's manual; c) Tube Racks (4 per rack), d) Cooling Block, e) Mini-Centrifuge; g)50-EA 25 UL and 100 UL Reaction Tubes; h) custom case for transporting processing block, laptop and accessories. Accessories include: 2) 2-EA, 25 UL tubes, 1000 per pack; 3) 1-EA, Smart Cycler add-on Processing Block with 16-independent reaction sites, each with 4-color optical excitation and detection and USB cables. The software must be fully integrated with the system and capable of exporting the data to other PC applications using a MS-Excel spreadsheet. The system and software must meet the Section 508 Accessibility Compliance Clause. All Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) procured through this contract must meet the applicable accessibility standards at 36 CFR 1194. The system includes a standard commercial warranty on all equipment, a minimum 1-day on-site training for a maximum of four (4) people; and a set of the following manuals: operations and maintenance, service manuals. The Contractor shall also provide maintenance service plans and cost information. Delivery shall be F.O.B. Destination within Consignee's premises to the USDA, ARS, FDWSRU, 1301 Ditto Avenue, Ft. Detrick, MD 21702 within 60 days after receipt of the order. Companies with the demonstrated capability and financial capacity to provide and service such equipment must submit a written substantive statement outlining the Company's and systems' capabilities to the Contracting Officer within 10 days of publication of this notice. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE.
