Description

- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The combined Synopsis/Request for Quotation number is AMSTAC-MIT0-1202/1802. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46, dated 17 Mar 97. The associated standard industrial classification code is 7379 with a size standard of $18 million. The requirement is for software licensing and technical support for TACOM's Optical Archival/Retrieval System (TOPARS) proprietary to Capital Computer Solutions. FOB Destination will apply. No options will be included. Equipment is for AMSTA-CM-ISB, Warren, MI. Provision at FAR 52-212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: i) technical capability of the equipment offered to meet the Government requirement and ii) price. Offers are advised to include a complete copy of the Provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause at FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. This acquisition is rated D04. The US Army Tank Automotive Command intends to negotiate solely with Capital Computer Solutions, 47912 West Road, Wixom, MI 48393-3669, holder of the licensing rightsa.
