Description

Contractor shall completely prepare site and furnish all labor, tools, materials and equipment necessary and perform all work to install smoke detectors atquarters at the VA Medical Center, Bath, New York. Work includes installation of smoke detectors at each floor level and all sleeping rooms in eight (8) quarters. Smoke detectors shall be photoelectric with 85db sounder and in each building connect to VA Fire Department via individual building pull station zone and any one detector that is activated in a building shall cause all detectors in that building to sound. All wiring shall be run concealed by fishing of EMT conduit and flexible conduit. Cutting and patching of walls, floors and ceilings is required to match adjacent. Contemplated issue date is 8/24/01 with an approximate opening date of 9/21/01. The cost range is $25,000 to $100,000. A refundable bid deposit mad payable to the VA Medical Center is required for each set of plans and specifications.
