Description

DESC: The Marine Corps Systems Command intends to purchase 1 each Diesel Fuel Injector Test Stand, and 5 each 50Hz electric power kits from Bacharach Inc., Pittsburg, PA. The test stand is Bacharach Model CD3 with Detroit Diesel and Cummins Diesel adapter kits, and an Audit kit used for calibrating the test stand. The test stands were previously purchased from Bacharach Inc. Marine Corps mechanics are trained/schooled on this equipment, and it is essential they find identical equipment when assigned to the Fleet Marine Force repair facilities through the Marine Corps. This test stand was selected because it is capable of testing both Detroit and Cummins injectors while other stands would only test one or the other injectors, thereby recucing the footprint.
