Description

Background "TO PROCURE CERAMIC MATRIX COMPOSITE TILES. SIC Code 3724, NAICS Code 336413, Size Standard 1000 employees. This is a Sole Source procurement, synopsis published for informational purposes only. Solicitation documents are not available. This proposed contract action is for procurement of an item for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1. The proposed source is Honeywell Advanced Composites Inc, Newark DE. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations however, the government will consider all quotations/responses received within ten (10) days of the issuance of this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. See local note H. ""An Ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition.
