Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: quotes are being requested and no written solicitation will be issued. The solicitation number is N00124-01-Q-0314 and this solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). Delivery shall be FOB Destination to NAVSTA NEWPORT, Bldg. 12 -- NWC Receiving, 12 Chandler Street, Newport, RI 02841. Delivery shall be made 30 days after award. Invoice shall be sent to Naval War College, Code 0072, 686 Cushing Road, Newport, RI 02841-1207. Facsimile quotes will be accepted and shall be addressed to Ginny Reedenauer, Contracting Officer, Fax (401) 841-3567. The due date and time for receipt of quote is 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard time on September 5, 2001. Please quote brand name or equal on the following items. Item 01: Christie Digital Roadie X10 Projector. Salient characteristics: 10,000 ANSI lumens -- 90% brightness uniformity @1.8kW operation; 250:1 Contrast ratio; Greater than 400:1 full field (contrast ratio); DLP Technology; Integrated Xenon lamp/reflector; Built in shutter; Dynamic scaling -- horizontal and vertical adjustment for video and data; 1024X768 true resolution and resizing capabilities to scale down from 1280X1024 and from 640X480; Horizontal Frequency -- 15 to 100 kHz; Built in RGB input with separate H and V sync and stereo outputs; Built in RS 232 for computer control, with lop through for connection of multiple projectors; Third party control system and switcher compatibility: 10 bit gray scale accuracy. Item 02: 1.5 -- 2.5 Zoom lens. Item 03: Video decoder module. The Quantity for these items is one (1) each. The clause at Far 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this solicitation. The clause at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation of Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. The following clauses also apply to this solicitation: FAR 52.232-33 Payment by Electronic Fund Transfer; DFAR 252.204-7002 Required Central Contractor Registration. For solicitations after June 1 98 all contractors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) for award. All quotes must reference the solicitation number and the due date for receipt of quotes. In addition, each quote must contain the name, address, and telephone number of the offeror, as well as any discount terms that are offered, and the remit to address if different from the mailing address. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will be synopsized in the same manner as this solicitation and must be acknowledged by each quoter. Any quote or modification to quotes received after the specified due date for receipt of quotes will not be considered. The government will award a purchase order resulting from this solicitation to a responsible quoter whose quote conforms to the solicitation and is considered most advantageous to the Government. Award will be made on the basis of lowest overall price. Quoter shall specify business size and classification as required in FAR 52,212-3.
