Description

This is an amendment to the Presolicitation Notice, for solicitation number DCA100-01-T-4040, posted on 13 August 2001. All quotes on this equipment are now due on 24 August 2001. The following information is being provided for clarification purposes. A PS/2 Keyboard, PS/2 Mouse, VGA monitor are needed on each end as connectors for the cables. The APEX part number for the KVM adapters is ELC-11ST. Substitutions by other manufacturers will be accepted as long as functionality is not different. Dell and HP Windows servers and Sun and IBM UNIX servers mounted into Data Center racks will be connected to the KVM switches. Part numbers for the equipment are as follows: 8 Port Outlook Computer Switch -- 280ES; 3-foot ZIP KVM Cable -- CO-0332; 7-foot ZIP KVM Cable -- CO-0732; 12-foot ZIP KVM Cable -- CO-1232; Outlook Rack Mount Bracket -- BR-11SB, Sun KVM Adapter -- ELC-11ST. Male-to-male endings should be on the cables. Rack mounts are used to secure the switches in the 19" data center racks. The rack mounts are not to be used for securing the servers. Please respond by submitting a written quotation no later than August 24, 2001. Anticipated award date is August 28, 2001. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Quotes may be submitted via fax to (703) 607-4340. Delivery shall be thirty days or less. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Under provision 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items, price and delivery are the evaluation factors. Offerors will include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, with its offer. Clause 52.212-4, Contract terms and conditions, Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Clause 52.212-5, Contract terms and conditions, required to implement statutes or execute orders -- Commercial items, applies to this acquisition. DFARS 252.212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. DFARS 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration applies to this procurement.
