Description
VA VISN 22 Network Business Center intends to negotiate a COMMERCIAL ITEM (FAR Part 12) sole source contract with Integrated Digital Systems under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-27. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition is being prepared in support of this acquisition. This procurement is to obtain a DocuShare WorkFlow system to be used with the web-based Xerox DocuShare Version 2.2 software previously purchased, in order to automate the document work flow. Minimum requirements are: 1) DocuShare WorkFlow Server (25 users); DocuShare Workflow Maintenance Contract for base year plus four option years (45 users); DocuShare WorkFlow Client Upgrade (20 users); DocuShare WorkFlow Refresh Server, 1 ea.; Prototype Set-Up and Testing (40 hrs.); Training (45 users for 3 days); Travel for Technical Staff to the San Diego Veterans Administration Medical Center; and Integration Services (40 hrs.). The Government intends to award a firm, fixed-price contract for base year, with options for four (4) years beyond base year for supplies and maintenance of the DocuShare WorkFlow System. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a proposal. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. All proposals received by 3:00 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time, August 31, 2001, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
