Description

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) plans to negotiate a Purchase Order with Mr. Ruben Salas-Pereira to provide translation services from English to Spanish on several technical hydraulic publications. These publications include extensive technical material, tables, symbols, figures, flow-charts, example problems, etc pertaining to hydraulics. Mr. Salas-Pereira is uniquely qualified to provide the requested services because of his extensive knowledge, experience and active role in translating other FHWA hydraulic and technical manuals. Additionally, Mr. Salas-Pereira is an active instructor of a FHWA Hydraulic Course in Central and South America. Because Mr. Ruben Salas-Pereira posses a combination of experience, knowledge and familiarity with the translation of hydraulic publications in addition to serving as an instructor on the subject matter, he is the only known source that can successfully provide translation services on these technical hydraulic publications. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is September 3, 2001.=20
