Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) plans to issue an order on a sole source basis to Simplex Time Recorder Company, 12401 Kiln Court, Suite C, Beltsville, MD 20705, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). The purpose and objective of this requirement is to provide maintenance for Simplex ID Badging and Access Control Systems at NIST. As the manufacturer of the equipment, Simplex is the only company with the technical expertise to perform the necessary maintenance service on this equipment and has proprietary rights to the software. No solicitation package will be issued for this requirement. The period of performance for this requirement is for one base year with 4 additional one-year option periods. The anticipated award date of the order is on or about 10 days from the date of this notice.
