Description

This announcement modifies the previous CBD notice of 16 November 2000, Submission No. 5068Q5. The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a firm fixed price order under the Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) No. N00383-98-G-014H with Smith Industries Aerospace. The order will modify and repair 53 standby altimeters (P/N ML1650AM2) as required by remanufactured (REMAN) and TAV-8B upgrade in support of the USMC, Spanish, and Italian AV-8 aircraft. This order will be issued on a sole source basis to Smith Industries Aerospace, the only source with the pre-requisite knowledge and experience in the design and development of the Standby Altimeter.
