Description

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order to Simple Manufacturing Company, Portland, OR for the purchase of a Big Dipper Fire Fighting System. This is a sole source procurement due to the urgent and completing needs for fire fighting support in the Western Region of the United States. This procurement is subject to the availability of Fiscal Year 2001 funding. This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a request for proposals or quotations. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice, but will be used to determine if a comparable source of offerors are available and more advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the purchase will be awarded without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this Notice is solely with the discretion of the Government.
