Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Naval Shipyard Annex proposes to contract for an Annual Indefinite Delivery/Requirements Type Contract for a Base Year with four (4) one-year options periods for various sizes, types and quantities of insulation material manufactured in accordance with DOD-I-24688, INSULATION PANEL, THERMAL AND ACOUSTIC, ABSORPTIVE, OPEN-CELL, POLYIMIDE FOAM, DOD-I-24688 DATED 18 AUGUST 1987, AMENDMENT 1, DATED 24 SEPTEMBER 1996 and MIL-T-24708, THERMAL/ACOUSTIC INSULATION BARRIER MATERIAL, POLYIMIDE FOAM, MIL-T-24708 DATED JULY 1988. All items are for delivery to Norfolk Naval Shipyard,Portsmouth, VA 23709-5000. The closing date for offers will be established in the written solicitation. FOR ALL PRODUCTS NOT PREVIOUSLY APPROVED FOR USE BY NORFOLK OFFERORS MUST PROVIDE, WITH THEIR OFFER COMPLETE MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEETS CLEARLY MARKED WITH CORRESPONDING LINE ITEM NUMBERS REFERENCED IN THE SOLICITATION. This requirement is being handled utilizing "SIMP[LIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES" as set forth in FAR Part 13.5, TEST PROGRAM FOR CERTAIN COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS. Response date for submission of quotations will be established in the solictation. Requests for solicitation packages will be accepted via mail and e-mail only. All requests shall include, as a minimum, the complete mailing address, telephone number, Fax number and point of contact. Written requests shall be addressed to Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Naval Shipyard Annex, Code 531.4A/Nancy M. Hayden, Bldg. 1500, 2nd Floor, Portsmouth, VA 23709-5000.
