Description

Notice of Intent To Make A Sole Source Award To Jeol Usa, Inc, Peabody, MA. Notice of intent to make a sole source award to Jeol Usa, Inc. due to proprietary and diagnostic software installed on equipment. See Note 22. Jeol shall provide all necessary personnel, equipment, materials, supervision, and labor to maintain the following government owned equipment listed in this solicitation in operating order in accordance with all manufacturer's specificatons for the period of October 1,2001 through September 30, 2002. Jeol Microscope Model JSMS1110/Serial# MP170000-11/LN# 45009 Jeol Microscope Model JEM1010/Serial# EM185033109/LN# 45010. Equipment is located at John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital, 4300 West 7th, Little Rock, AR 72205. These requirements and specifications are to include (on site when possible), the complete servicing but not limited to the following to assure the equipment is maintained and performs in accordance with manufacturer's specifications: Labor to include troubleshooting, repairs, parts replacement for unscheduled, emergency and preventive mainteance. Replace all worn, damaged, or spent parts with original manufacturer's replacement parts (new or warranted). Sheduled preventive maintenance to be performed in May and November of each contract period and shall include but not be limited to: technical inspection, cleaning, lubricating, adusting, calibrating, and replacing all worn, damaged, or expendable parts in accordance with manufacturer's preventive guidelines, Federal, State and Local regulations. Jeol must provide documented proof of qualifications (i.e manufacturer's training or prior experience of equipment covered by the contract). Jeo must be in possession of all technical service manuals, including schematics, calibrations procedures etc. Jeol must provide at no additional charge, all software updates,upgrades and patches as offered by OEM. Jeol must be in possession of all specialized test equipment needed to perform all maintenance in accordance with appropriate service manuals.
