Description

This intent and purpose of this contract is to survey riparian areas on the Fishlake National Forest using Level II Methodology as described in the Intermountain Region's Integrated Riparian Evaluation Guide as amended at the time of acceptance of the contract. The job also calls for some minor inventory of existing fisheries habitat. The contract will include areas in both the Colorado River and Great Basins. About 138 miles of streams with associated reparian areas have been identified for survey. Stream length is calculated from the stream layer in the geographic information system (GSI) with the stream sinousity mapped at a scale of 1:24,000. The exact number of miles that will be surveyed is dependent upon the bid and cost per mile. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. Estimated issue date is 9/7/01.
