Description

The Carderock Division Naval Surface Warfare Center intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with IEM Technologies. The contractor will provide technical support on the Joint and International Interactive Technical Publications Standardization Project. This will include assistance in the development and implementation processes and infrastructure necessary for the rapid global acceptance of U.S.applications of emerging information technology standards. The contractor will assist in supporting de jure and de facto standardization activities in the technical coordination and integration of harmonization proposals and enhancements to the Joint Technical Architecture and IT taxonomy of profiles. The contractor shall monitor and assist in initial development of Change Requests by the AECMA S1000D Core Specification Group for MIL-STD-87269 like interactive functionality for diagnostics and training, adding a capability for including electronic legacy material into the interoperable mix of ITP that would be installed at a user site. This would require formats as specified in the United States MIL-HDBK-511. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements under the authority of FAR 6.302.1. Anticipated award is on or about 9/5/01.
