Description

The United States Penitentiary (USP-Leavenworth), located at 1300 Metropolitan, Leavenworth, Kansas, intends to award a contract for a graphic arts design, vocational training, certificate program for federal prisoners. The awardee will provide, through instructional sessions including layout & design, computer graphics, sign making, engraving, etc., a one-year, accredited, certificate-program. This requirement is advertised as full and open competition. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 611519, with a small business size standard of $5.0 million. The awardee and designated-instructor must have experience in graphic arts design. Additionally, the instructor must hold a current teaching certificate for the state of Kansas. Services will be provided to (male) federal inmates, inside a prison with a security designation of HIGH. The contract will be awarded with one base-year, with four option years. The Government has unilateral authority to exercise each of four option years. Total contract life is five years, if all option years are exercised by the Government. The estimated annual quantity of sessions is one-hundred and four (104). Otherwise stated as two, three hour sessions per day, Monday through Friday, for fifty-two weeks.
