Description

The work includes providing maintenance dredging for Naval Amphibious Base, Little Creek, Virginia Beach, Virginia, harbor and approach. Restore approach route from Thimble Shoals Channel through the Little Creek harbor entrance to authorized depth, and incidental related work. Buoys inside the harbor must be removed during harbor dredging operations and reinstalled when dredging is complete. The solicitation also provides for two (2) priced options for 1) dredging the harbor and Piers 19N through 18S, and 2) dredging Piers 15S to 17N. Solicitation will be available on or about 6 September 2001. The solicitation will be available on the NAVFAC E-Solicitation website via the internet at http://esol.navfac.navy.mil. Contractors are encouraged to register for the solicitation when downloading from the NAVFAC E-Solicitation website. Only registered contractors will be notified by e-mail when amendments to the solicitation are issued. Technical inquiries shall be faxed to 757-462-7878, Attention: Tina Rule. The estimated cost range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) Code is 23499 with a Size Standard of $17,000,000. This project is not set aside for small business. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. Large businesses shall submit a subcontracting plan prior to award of the contract.
