- Description
- Switchyard Circuit Breaker Installation, at John H. Kerr Dam and Powerhouse 1. The Scope of Work includes removal of existing 121 kV oil circuit breakers and installation of 28 new 2000 ampere, 121 kV SF6 gas circuit breakers, in the existing project switchyard, located in Boydton (Mecklenburg County), Virginia. The work shall include: removal of disconnect switches, oil circuit breakers, relaying CT's and PT's, and related power and control wiring in the switchyard; modification to control room bench, instrument and relay boards, and related wiring; furnish and install conduit, wiring, and miscellaneous electrical accessories; install government supplied equipment, including SF6 circuit breakers and surge arrestors; paint switchyard support structure; modify pothead structure; furnish and install new CT's, PT's, and coupling capacitors; and miscellaneous work. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. 2. AVAILIBILITY AND CHARGE: THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS WILL BE ON A CD-ROM DISK, WILL BE PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE, AND SHOULD NOT BE RETURNED. Plans and Specifications will not be provided in a printed-paper hard copy form. Amendments will be made through either a 3.5" Diskette, CD-ROM Disk, or by a printed-paper hard copy. The CD-ROM Disk contains a simple window viewing application and two (2) commercial soft ware applications. All applications contained on the CD-ROM Disk can be run from the CD-ROM Disk. No installation is required. The recommended minimum hardware requirements are (1) 486/66 personal computer; (2) 8 or 16 M RAM; (3) CD-ROM drive; and (4) a Windows driven printer. The recommended minimum software requirement is Microsoft Windows 3.1, Windows95, or Windows NT. All Bid Forms, Bid Bonds, and other normal documents required for bid submittal shall be in a paper medium. Electronic medium for bid submittal SHALL NOT BE ALLOWED.
