Description
SYNOPSIS The United States Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command-Warren (TACOM-Warren) is issuing a Request For Proposal (RFP) for the purpose of identifying and implementing an effective process for upgrading the existing Integrated Defense System (IDS) Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL) and Commander's Decision Aid (CDA) to be High Level Architecture (HLA) compliant and sustainable in order to support survivability modeling and simulation function for the RDEC Federation, the Army's Future Combat System program and the TACOM Research, Development, and Engineering Center's (TARDEC's) Full Spectrum Active Protection Program. The planned contract will procure 2684 hours, and will include options to add up to an additional 9026 hours for a two year period. The contract will be a cost plus fixed fee (CPFF) award to BAE Systems North America, Nashua, NH, the designer and developer of the IDS SIL. (BAE Systems North America formerly was known as Sanders, A Lockheed Martin Co.) The contract is planned be awarded on a sole source basis; however, any proposal received as a result of this synopsis will be evaluated for possible competition. The solicitation will be issued in electronic format, and only electronic proposal responses will be accepted. The solicitation will be posted on our web site http://contracting.tacom.army.mil/research/researchproc.html. Offers are to be emailed to the buyer identified below. Maximum size of emailed offers shall not exceed 2 megabytes. Compressed files must be self-extracting and have appropriate instructions to open. Please make sure this agency has been furnished with the following additional information: CAGE Code, Company Name, DUNS Number, and email address for your organization's point of contact.
