Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to award a sole source, fixed price contract to Florida Inland Navigation District (FIND) for the purpose of providing, posting and maintaining of regulatory signs to designate new manatee protection areas as well as maintaining signs in existing protection areas that are within water falling under their statutory authority. Pursuant to 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1), as implemented by 6.302-1, (b)(1)(i), this requirement has been justified and approved in accordance with FAR 6.303 and FAR 6.304. FIND is the only organization authorized to post and maintain signs in federally designated navigable waters along the entire Atlantic Coastline of Florida. This notice is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely wwithin its discretion. If no responses are received within 10 days, the Government shall award a contract to FIND.*****
