CALL FOR PAPERS AND VENDOR PARTICIPATION -- -- -- -- -- The BMDO -- Ballistic Missile Defense Organization (Pentagon), SMC -- Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center (LA AFB), and the 61st Communications Squadron (Base network management center) are co-sponsoring an information technology conference that will be targeting the IT needs of Los Angeles AFB and the surrounding contractor community. The conference committee is currently accepting presentation abstracts from the government and vendor communities (Presentation abstracts are due October 5, 2001). The exhibits will focus on new leading edge technologies and the conference sessions will highlight information assurance issues pertinent to the facilities tenant organizations and the surrounding contractor communities. The conference presenters will be invited from The Ballistic Missile Defense Organization (BMDO), National Security Agency, Office of Technical Information, Threat Reduction Agency, Defense Information Systems Agency, and many more -- -- -- -- -- ABOUT THE SPONSOR: Air Force Space & Missile Systems Center, headquartered at LA AFB, is responsible for research, development, acquisition, on-orbit testing and sustainment of military space and missile systems.
