Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the FAR, Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Quotes are being reques ted and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation F1WC32121302 is issued as a Request for Quote (R FQ). This synopsis/solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those that are in effect th rough Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-26 and Defense Acquisition Circular (DAC) 91-13. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 336412 with a size standard of 500 employees. This procurement ha s been set-aside for Small Businesses. Tyndall AFB plans to procure a mobile air start reciprocating compressor unit with four wheels. The unit must include a control system (pressure regulators, valves, gages, controls and safety devices), an air receiver, air starter, and an air compressor. The system must be designed for use with a ir. The air receiver (30 gallon tank) must be capable of pressures of 180 psig with an electrical driven compres sor. The power requirements are as follows: The system must come prewired for 115 VAC 1 phase, with the ability to be rewired for 230 VAC 1 phase. Warranty: The contractor or manufacturer?s standard commercial warranty shal l apply. Responsibility and Inspection: the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection require ments and Quality Control. Offerors must submit a technical description of the items being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with this solicitation. This may include, but is not limited to, product literature , pictures and schematics of the Air Start System Compressor, and terms of expressed warranties. Place of delive ry and acceptance for the Air Start System Compressor will be 325 MXS, Tyndall AFB, FL 32403. The required deliv ery date is 3 Dec 01. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items (NOV 1999) is her eby incorporated by reference. Solicitation provision at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items (JAN 1999) is hereby incorporated by reference. The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this synopsis/solici tation to the responsible offeror whose quote is conforming to the synopsis/solicitation and will be the most adv antageous to the Government. Price and delivery factors will be considered. Offerors must include a completed co py of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (FEB 2000) Clause 52 .212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items (MAY 1999), is hereby incorporated by reference. Clause 5 2.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items (Devia tion), is hereby incorporated by reference.
