Description

The National Institute of Health (NIH) National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) intends to purchase Scientific Equipment. The Institute is interested in purchasing a MegaBace-1000 Workstation and accessories from Amersham Pharmacia Biotech Inc, 800 Centennial Avenue, Piscataway, NJ 08855. This workstation will be used in the Chromosome 1 positional cloning project to localize the genetic variants that increase susceptibility to type 2 diabetes mellitus in Pima Indians. This notice is for the purchase e of commercial equipment within the Simiplified Acquisition Threshold of up $5 million dollars. Interested vendors that are capable of providing the Government with the scientific equipment above may request a copy of the RFQ in writing or by FAX to 301-480-4226 to the Contracting office prior to the closing date of this notice. It is anticipated that the RFQ-NIDDK-01-673 will be available fifteen (15) days after the release of the RFQ. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. The anticipated award date will be September 20, 2001. Request for copies of the RFQ must be in writing to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases 6707 Democracy Blvd, Two Democracy Plaza Suite 774B, Bethesda, MD 20892 Attention: Desiree Kelly.
