Description

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Service (FNS), intends to negotiate a sole source contract with State Information Technology Consortium (SITC) for the collection of data on State Food Stamp Program information systems and enter the data in the Department of Health and Human Service's (DHHS') National Human Services Information Technology Resource Center's (NHSITRC) Web site. DHHS is currently contracting with SITC to extend project management and development work requirements associated with completion of tasks with the NHSITRC Web site. SITC has and is continuing to collect State systems information in support of DHHS's Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program. FNS has determined this work to be sole source based on SITC's current contract work with DHHS and their authority to access the NHSITRC database. This is a sole source simplified acquisition under the authority of 41 USC 253 (c) (1), and is not a request for competitive quotes. However, responses received from other qualified sources prior to close of business August 31, 2001, will be evaluated. Offerors must provide proof that they can provide these services.
