Description

DESCRIPTION: The Department of Energy's Office of Safeguard and Security intends to acquire maintenance and related services for Government-owned security equipment, consisting of PerkinElmer manufactured X-Ray Machines and Magnetometers, located at the DOE Forrestal and Germantown facilities. The maintenance contract will cover a three (3) year base period, with a two (2) year option period. All services provided under the proposed contract are to be performed by factory trained and authorized personnel who are experience and qualified to provide the required services. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), specifically PerkinElmer Instruments. This notice of intent is not a request for Competitive Proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See Note(s) 22 *****
