Description

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) at the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) has a requirement to demolish a fire retardant storage/mixing facility at the NIFC complex. Tanks have previously stored mixtures containing Astaris Phos-check D-75 and /or D-75 fire retardant compound. Work shall consist of removing and disposing of: (a) three 8,000 gallon fire retardant tanks, (b) observation tower, (c) structural support system, (d) stairways, (e) platforms, (f) pumps, (g) piping, and (h) associated electrical wiring and equipment to the existing outside electrical panel. All work shall be completed by November 30, 2001. This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside and NAICS 235940, Wrecking and Demolition Contractors applies. The small business size standard is $11.5 million for the past three fiscal years. Simplified acquisition procedures will be used for award and Davis-Bacon labor rates apply. The NIFC complex is located in Boise, Ada County, Idaho. The estimated value of this requirement is less than $100,000. Only written offers will be accepted and it is anticipated award will be made by September 30, 2001.
