- Contractor Question 1. Our cases utilize an ABS plastic laminate as the outer surface laminated to plywood. Would this be acceptable? Government Answer 1. The speicifation in no means calls for a laminate to be applied to the plywood. Recommend you supply your quote in accordance with the specification. We do encourage multiple offers, however you must submit as requested and then you may offer a multiple offer for consideration. Be advised that technical is not a part of the evaluation factors as spelled out in the solicitation. Evaluation factor are Past Performance, ability to meet delivery schedule and Price. Contractor Question 2. Can all hardware be commercially zinc plated or must they be painted? Government Answer 2. Hardware can be of a commercial nature however painting must be in accordance with the specification. Any hardware that differs from the speicification must be clearly identified. Contractor Question 3. What is the color of the case? Government Answer 3. The color of the case is military olive drab. The specification identifies the fed spec for this paint. Contractor Question 4. Also, is the freight FOB Origin or Destination? Government Answer 4. Yes! The solicitation clearly spells out F.o.b. Destination.
