Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number N00421-01-Q-0554 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. This action is set aside for small businesses. The applicable NAICS is 421690 and the small business size standard is 100 employees. The Government intends to solicit for quotations on a full and open competitive basis. The contract line item numbers are: CLIN 0001-Electrical Wire, White, AWG16 4COND Shielded in accordance with MIL-C-2700G-5,000 FT; CLIN 0002-Electrical Wire, White, AWG22 1COND Non-shielded in accordance with MIL-C-2700G-30,000 FT; CLIN 0003-Electrical Wire, White, AWG18 2COND Shielded in accordance with MIL-C-2700G-5,000 FT; CLIN 0004-Electrical Wire, White, AWG20 2COND Non-shielded in accordance with MIL-C-2700G-20,000 FT and CLIN 0005-Electrical Wire, International Orange, AWG24 1COND Non-shielded in accordance with MIL-C-27500G-10,000 FT. The contractor shall deliver the wire to: Receiving Officer, Supply Department Bldg. 665 Suite 2, 47179 Vaughn Road Unit NASSU, Patuxent River, MD 20670-1614, by 26 November 2001; (with anticipated award date by 21 September 2001). Mark for: Brenda Abell, 7.8.1.4. Inspection and acceptance shall be made at destination, FOB Destination. FAR 52.211-16, Variance in Quantity (APR 1984), applies to this acquisition. The permissible variation for all items shall be limited to 10 Percent increase, 10 Percent decrease. FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items (OCT 2000) is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition. FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items (JAN 1999) applies to this acquisition. The basis for evaluation and award will be price and conformance with MIL-C-27500G. The offeror shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (MAY 2001) with its quotation. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items (MAY 2001) is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition.
