Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: quotes are being requested and no written solicitation will be issued. The solicitation number is N00124-01-Q-0335 and this solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). Delivery shall be FOB Destination to NAVSTA NEWPORT, Bldg. 12 -- NWC Receiving, 12 Chandler Street, Newport, RI 02841. Delivery shall be made 30 days after award. Invoice shall be sent to Naval War College, Code 0072, 686 Cushing Road, Newport, RI 02841-1207. Facsimile quotes will be accepted and shall be addressed to Ginny Reedenauer, Contracting Officer, Fax (401) 841-3567. The due date and time for receipt of quote is 4:00 P. M. The following clauses also apply to this solicitation: FAR 52.232-33 Payment by Electronic Fund Transfer; DFAR 252.204-7002 Required Central Contractor Registration. For solicitations after June 1 98 all contractors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) for award. All quotes must reference the solicitation number and the due date for receipt of quotes. In addition, each quote must contain the name, address, and telephone number of the offeror, as well as any discount terms that are offered, and the remit to address if different from the mailing address. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will be synopsized in the same manner as this solicitation and must be acknowledged by each quoter. Any quote or modification to quotes received after the specified due date for receipt of quotes will not be considered. The government will award a purchase order resulting from this solicitation to a responsible quoter whose quote conforms to the solicitation and is considered most advantageous to the Government. Award will be made on the basis of lowest overall price. Quoter shall specify business size and classification as required in FAR 52,212-3.
