Description

The Government intends to establish a requirements type contract for essentil tire repair/retreading of various aircraft tires. Work shall be accomplished IAW Appendices A and C. To include all required reports and data. There are nine (9) separate NSNs listed with various quantities. The four highest quantities: Item 0001, NSN 2620-00-702-2972, MLG Tire, C-5 ACFT, 40x17/26 Ply Rating, Quantity 2570. Item 0002, NSN 2620-00-142-5161, MLG Tire, C-130 ACFT, 20.00-20/26 Ply Rating, Quantity 1650. Item 0003, NSN 2620-00-834-6673, NLG Tire, C-130 ACFT, 12.50-16/12 Ply Rating, Quantity 2300. Item 0004, NSN 2620-00-575-8893, MLG Tire, KC-135 ACFT, 49x17/26 Ply Rating, Quanty 1800. Delivery schedule as indicated on funded order and commencing 60 days after receipt of repairable end item and funded order. The approximate issue/response date will be 14 SEP 2001. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor, concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
