Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 17, intends to negotiate a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with Federal Health Net Federal Services, Inc., P.O. Box 2890, 2025 Aerojet Rd., Ranch Cordova, CA 95742. The BOA is to provide preferred pricing in accordance with their Preferred Pricing Program. This proposed contract action is for preferred claims pricing when eligible veterans use contracted providers for in-patient hospitalizations, out-patient care, ambulatory surgery, dental, professional services, and ancillary services, at a discounted rate. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority at FAR 6.302-1. All FAR provisions and clauses may be reviewed and or obtained at www.arnet.gov. This notice of our intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract, based upon the responses received is solely at the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a response to this solicitation not later than September 17, 2001, 4:00 P.M., CST., which shall be considered by the agency. See Note 22.
