Description

The Supervisor of Shipbuilding Conversion & Repair, USN (SUPSHIP), has a requirement for VESTDAVITS Model PLR-3250. This requirement is being issued by Gov.Works under the franchise authority of the Department of the Interior (DOI) on behalf of SUPSHIP and in accordance with FAR 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. Existing Whaleboats and DAVITS are programmed to be removed and replaced under Shipalt 7523D with a NAVSEA Approved 7 METER RIB DAVIT, VESTDAVIT PLR-3250, for improved boat launch/recovery, rescue boat survivability, and expanded boat mission capability. NAVSEA Shipalt 7523D identifies VESTDAVIT PLR-3250 as the approved replacement for the existing Whaleboat Davit. Numerious Naval surface ships and Aircraft Carriers are outfitted with these VESTDAVITS. This provides for exchange and cross-decking of complete units and spare parts. It also establishes one Standardize Davit operating procedure, repair and maintenance and personnel training. Also, Aircraft Carrier Engineering and Installation drawings development, are based on the VESTDAVIT PLR-3250 Davit unit. Scan Pacific Enterprise, Inc. is a United States authorized distributor of VESTDAVIT PLR-3250 which is proprietary to Vestdavit of Norway. The period of performance for this effort shall not exceed 12 months from the date of award. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Scan Pacific Enterprise, Inc. for the supplies and services in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities or submit proposals. This is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 10 working days after the date of publication of this synopsis
