Description

The Regional Contracting Office, Northeast Code (RCO) intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. The purpose of the proposed requirement is to upgrade a nine (9) year old mobile firearms trainer for safety, environmental and technology reasons. Time is critical as the Government cannot wait for a design and approval process before proceeding with the upgrade specified above. The manufacturer of the trainer is Caswell International Corporation located at 2540 Second Street, NE, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55418-3474. Caswell has the engineering design necessary for the upgrade. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement in writing by no later than 14 September 2001. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
