- New Program. Status: Market Survey is to be conducted, during which various fabric samples of domestically available alternate fabrics will be reviewed/evaluated. No solicitation document currently exists. Objective: To conduct a Market Survey to identify alternate domestically produced fabrics for a future replacement of the current rayon faced, rayon- or cotton-backed satin type cloth (A-A-52074) used in the production of the Lining of the Men's and Women 's All-Weather Coats. The Government is not mandating the type of fibers to be used. If one of the submitted samples is chosen for further testing, the manufacturere must have available/or be able to produce the nee ded yardage of fabric for a wear test in a short period of time. The CBD announcement should be open to all potentially valid submittals from interested commercial contractors. The fabric sample and information paper must be submitted no later than 16 November 2001 to Ms. Pam Moriarty, U.S. Army Soldier & Biological Chemical Command, Natick Soldier Center, ATTN: AMSSB-RIP=RSQ(N), Room D226, Kansas Street, Natick, MA 01760-5019.
