Description
This is a sources sought synopsis. A sources sought requests information by the Government prior to release of any potential solicitation. Please read this entire synopsis. This is not a request for proposal and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. The Naval Aviation Depot Jacksonville, Florida is seeking sources capable of providing Material Management Services. These services include the following: Acquisition of Material and Services Material Status Material Handling (includes Hazardous Material) Communications The work will be performed primarily at the Naval Aviation Depot Jacksonville, Florida. Currently, the Government's in-house workforce is performing the services. The Government anticipates the following: a five year performance period, a best value method of evaluation, a firm fixed price type contract with a performance based statement of work. ISO certification is required by the start of performance. NAICS 49319, FSC S215 A cost comparison will be performed pursuant to OMB Circular A-76 in order to determine whether a private sector or Government source should be the service provider. Accordingly, a contract may or may not ultimately be awarded as a result of the study. If a commercial vendor is selected as the service provider, an award will be made in accordance with OMB Circular A-76, and in conjunction with all other applicable Government and Navy acquisition regulations.
